1st solo game of Xenos rampant
6mm minis from 3d stls full spectrum dominace and epic 40k..
Simple sweep and clear just kill units point
Seeing have the new rules affect the game.
1 seems a lot more customizations options
I'm trying to see what's a straight up rewording to a Sci-fi thing then a new rules I'd need further study though.

I used 2 pre built list in the book though I used single modles for everything
New world order for humans, a post apocalyptic list a repaired unreliable battle tank, rangers and power mechs, akin to fall out pc game setting steel brotherhood.
maybe...and alien earth classic close combat aliens a queen and 2 smaller class of aliens.. I swoped out 1 unit of lesser xenos for my own custom build "gw warriors" unit with guns.. so I could experience the firefight rule...
Played corner to corner and game kicked of classic rampant style with most of the humans stalling
Some free moves helped but separated the forces a little with strong fire power of the elites left behind...
Aliens mostly xenomorph had loads of free moves and swarmed forward
Narrative wise I see a outpost has repelled 1st wave of alien and has requested back up
The human rangers get to the outpost 1st gaining hard cover but a large mob of aliens swarms its position quickly
The tank damages it self but trundles on the bulk of the aliens swarm away from its intimidating presence seeking softer targets
The Queen and mech duel with the Queen coming out on top with slightly superior armour. .note my Queen rolled timid and can only attack on wild charges so a few turn go by where she's idley shot at..
The rangers are pushed out of the tower and lose morale the swarm persure and caught in flamer fire from the support team.
The aliens seem in sync with there Queen and failed wild charges causing them to stand idle and get shot
I had to call time at this point 4 units left each, I think it could have swung either way... though I feel slightly more in aliens favor..
Point humans 3 aliens 4 but would have
evened out next activation if good dice rolled...
Still a fun system I really like the activation fails for battle field confusion. Free actions didn't seem to disrupt this and actually positivly sped up the game ..
I think I fancy pushing beyond 24pts . As all the upgrades to play with
It possibly would have looked cooler if I double based some minis for increased squad size.. but at this scale and for ease the single models with strength point tracker was fine
