Days out in the UK 001

Tandle Hill, Country Park
A hill with a bit of history, but now it's lovely tree lined park.
Took mother wife and child age 5
We attempted a bike a scooter but the paths while not overly steep as other hills we have climbed didn't seem suited for any non geared apparatus
I think cycling would be for experienced adult cyclist only, other wise n adult will be carrying a childs bike soon...
Lovely cafe area, good sand area for toddlers and great tall slide for older kids
And a adventure playground of rope type bridges we didn't try
We did explore much this was a reccie run, but we walked to the war memorial..the left path is steep, the right path to it is quite forgiving, and there is a middle staired path to it..
The view from the memorial is stunning, rolling hills, views of Manchester, from a great height with out much walking effort, compared to Holcombe Hill, Pendel Hill foristance,
Parking was fairly ample we visted on a bank holiday and plenty of street parking too
Some rare  birds apparently
But a lovely wooded well maintaind paths of dappled light, remincent of Aulderly edge but more of a 180 panorama and maybe slightly younger trees..
2 main paths to follow on the main tourist map and More paths to explore for next time .
Camera realy doesn't capture the depth and distance you could view..
Also forgot to take images while under the trees,.

All in all would go a again, bit of an alternative to say Hollingworth Lake and Holcombe Hill, which tend to be quite busy.
